A solemn ceremony of presenting passports to citizens of the Russian Federation who have reached the age of 14 took place at the Naberezhnye Chelny Palace of Celebrations. 29 young residents of the city officially received the main document of a citizen of the country.

The ceremony began with the performance of the anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, a minute of silence, and creative performances by artists of the city philharmonic. Before receiving the documents, the participants watched films about the history of the passport and their hometown.

The new passport holders were congratulated by the Mayor Nail Magdeev and State Duma Deputy Alfiya Kogogina. They noted the responsibility that comes with receiving a passport and wished the teenagers success in their studies, sports, and social activities.

"I believe that today's event in the main hall of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, the birthplace of the legendary КАМАЗ trucks, will forever remain in your memory and the memory of your loved ones," Nail Magdeev addressed the young people. "We are doing everything to ensure that the presentation of passports of the Russian Federation takes place in a solemn atmosphere. There are not many cities in Russia where this is held at such a level, and Naberezhnye Chelny stands out for this. We consider it important to say kind words to our young Chelny residents here, in the main hall of our city. It is important to say parting words. Life is a complex but very interesting thing. Each of you will choose your own path, but the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, like your family that gave you a start in life, will be your guiding star and constant support."

Alfiya Kogogina wished the young men and women to make a worthy contribution to the development of our city and country, reminding them that rights come with responsibilities: "Many of you have succeeded in studies, sports, and art. You are engaged in social activities and lead an active creative life. And I believe that the qualities you have cultivated in yourselves – the desire to win, to help each other, respect for elders, purposefulness – will greatly help you in realizing your personal dreams. I believe that you will definitely be worthy citizens of the Russian Federation. You will definitely be the pride of your family, our city, and our country."

Among the passport recipients are versatile and talented teenagers: robotics experts and programmers, martial arts athletes and dancers, vocalists and artists, activists and volunteers. Many of them are winners of Olympiads, competitions, and championships of various levels.

The ceremony concluded with a group photo and memorable shots for family archives.

All photos from the ceremony can be found in the official VKontakte group of the city administration.
