Municipal Autonomous Institution of Additional Education "Children's Music School No. 1" was founded in 1959. The institution has the right to carry out educational activities for the implementation of additional pre-professional general education and general development programs in the field of art. The main goal of teaching is to introduce children to art, develop their creative abilities and acquire initial professional skills.
Teaching is conducted in 4 departments: piano, orchestral, folk, choral, in 13 specializations: piano, violin, cello, flute, oboe, saxophone, percussion instruments, bayan, garmon, accordion, domra, guitar, choral singing. Children and adolescents aged from six years and six months to seventeen years are enrolled. The student body of Children's Music School No. 1 is 210 students.
For preschool children (ages 4 to 6), teaching is conducted in the early aesthetic development group "Art-malysh".
The institution's working hours are from 8:00 to 20:00 daily. Day off – Sunday. The school operates in two shifts.
