The main activities of the department are:
- coordination of economic planning of the economic activities of organizations of the communal complex, management organizations and municipal unitary enterprises operating in the field of housing and communal services;
- development of proposals for setting tariffs for services of municipal organizations of the communal complex, which are subject to establishment by local governments;
- participation in the implementation of the program of capital repairs of apartment buildings;
- participation in the development of production and investment programs of public utilities organizations, monitoring of programs;
- attracting investments in housing and communal services;
- ensuring the implementation of municipal programs in the field of housing and communal services reform and modernization;
- control of the targeted use of funds allocated from the city budget under the Housing and Communal Services section;
- consideration of complaints and appeals from citizens and legal entities on economic issues, issues of calculating payments for housing and communal services.
