Every year on February 10, the country celebrates the Day of Remembrance for Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, a Russian poet, novelist, playwright, literary critic, and the founder of the modern Russian literary language.
During the event, a literary investigation will be conducted, based on officially published case materials. The case regarding the murder of Alexander Pushkin in a duel was reviewed almost two centuries ago by a military court. Some historians suggested that it could not have been fair, as the judges (guard officers), due to their, in modern terms, “corporate” morality, were on Dantes' side.
At the end of the event, participants will attempt to draw their own conclusions and findings regarding this case and answer the questions: what was the reason for the duel? What forced Alexander Sergeyevich to stand before the barrel of a pistol? And could this have been avoided?
The event is held by appointment by phone: +7 (8552) 32-71-64.
