About the event

The G. M. Khakimova Naberezhnye Chelny Art Gallery is hosting museum workshops on the art of printmaking on paper.

Printmaking is a type of fine art based on transferring an image from a printing plate to a printing surface. A printing plate is a kind of matrix; it can be made of wood, metal, glass, stone, or mesh. Using tools or chemicals, an image is created on the surface of the printing plate, which is then covered with printing ink and transferred to the printing surface under pressure.

During the workshop, children will study the art of graphics, its features, and varieties. They will get acquainted with the works of Marat Iskandarovich Mingaleev, a graphic artist from Naberezhnye Chelny.

The participants will print images on paper using the linocut technique. Materials are provided.
