Event participants will learn the history of the women's headdress – kalfak and create one with their own hands. This element of the Tatar costume is not just an accessory, but a symbol of national identity and cultural traditions.
Participants will immerse themselves in the history of the mid-19th to early 20th centuries, when the kalfak became an integral part of the women's wardrobe. During this time, it changed: from knitted and embroidered versions to elegant and miniature models. Participants will be able to create a unique headdress by choosing the color scheme and decor. A miniature accessory attached to a headband will be an ideal addition to a Tatar costume and is suitable for holidays, cultural events, and celebrations.
