The excursion through the unified exposition of the History and Local Lore Museum includes:
- the "Old Chelny" exposition;
- "KAMAZ and the City";
- Hall of Glory;
- hall of the creative heritage of V. Vysotsky.
The exposition is filled with interesting items on the history of the region from the Ice Age to modern times. Here, visitors will get acquainted with tools, weapons, and household items of people from the Stone and Bronze Ages, learn when Naberezhnye Chelny was founded, and why it became one of the centers of grain trade on the Kama River. Having passed through the harsh and heroic years of the Civil War, Naberezhnye Chelny felt the full weight of wartime in the rear.
The museum also preserves the history of the largest construction project of the 70s of the 20th century – the "KAMAZ" plant and the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. We live on a very ancient land, inhabited first by mammoths and bisons, and since the Paleolithic era – by humans. At one time, Finno-Ugrians and Bulgars found shelter here. But it was only in 1626 that the first settlement – Berezhnye Chelny – emerged.
