Time has its own memory – history. Events related to the Afghan War and the assistance our country provided to the Afghan government in carrying out democratic reforms are receding further and further into history. 33 years ago, the last Soviet soldier left Afghanistan, but the Afghan issue has become more relevant than ever right now. What should we expect from this country, and what will the new Afghanistan be like? These questions worry all of us today.

The Museum of History and Local Lore invites you to attend an interactive museum lesson "My Pain – Afghanistan". You will learn about the complex background of this war, find out the conditions our soldiers faced and how they adapted to them, how tactics, uniforms, and equipment changed.
