About the event

80 years have passed since the end of the Second World War, but its echoes still reach modern people. These are the graves of unknown soldiers, shells and fragments left on the battlefields, trenches and craters from shells and bombs – these are the wounds on the earth. This also includes the memory of the surviving participants of the battles and the memory of those who forged the victory by providing the army with everything necessary.

One of such monuments of the war are soldiers' letters – "triangles", sometimes written on a simple scrap of paper. These precious messages from the battlefields from relatives and loved ones, priceless relics, are still kept in cherished boxes, bundles, and folders. Reading these sparse lines, one can imagine how the victory over the brown plague of the last century was forged.

During the session, schoolchildren and students will be able to immerse themselves in the era of the Great Patriotic War through letters written in trenches and dugouts, as well as letters from wives, mothers, fathers, and relatives to their loved ones at the front.
