During the summer holidays, children will spend their time usefully and interestingly – an exciting journey into the world of books, cartoons, folk customs, and traditions awaits them.
The children will be greeted by a host in a traditional Tatar costume. Through fun games, contests, and quizzes, she will introduce them to the culture of the Tatars, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Bashkirs, Udmurts, Chuvash, and other peoples. Children will especially enjoy the Tatar game "Painter and Paints", the Bashkir game "Pigeons", and the Mari game "Hiding the Ring". They will also recall folk holidays: Sabantuy, Nardugan, Maslenitsa, Novruz, Pitrau, Ivan Kupala, and Grachinaya Kasha (Rook Porridge).
Representatives of the Mari and Russian peoples in national costumes will visit the library. They will talk about the unusual holidays and rituals of their peoples. A Russian beauty, Alenushka, will suggest that the children recall oral folk art, and they will happily perform the fairy tale "The Turnip". The event will conclude with a screening of the Chuvash cartoon "Volga Heroes. Ivan the Batyr".
