This is a poetic and soulful story based on the work of the same name by Fyodor Atyanin.
Combining folklore motifs, magical realism, and eternal themes of love, duty, and the immortality of the spirit, the audience will be transported into a mystical world where the fates of people and gods are intertwined, with the fate of the latter even depending on a single human being.
The legend tells of the Mordovian people searching for a better place to live in harmony with the gods, and of a young man named Baika, who falls in love with the daughter of the forest goddess Viryava. However, it is not all that simple, and there are those who wish to destroy this bright feeling and change the order of life.
The play will leave deep reflections on how true love can overcome even death, leaving a trace in the heart and in nature.
