The Global Day of Parents, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2012, is celebrated annually on the first day of summer to honor mothers and fathers around the world.
An exposition will be prepared for this event, featuring publications that will help to understand children and create harmony in the family. Among its exhibits are works by classics: V. Sukhomlinsky "The Wisdom of Parental Love" and V. Levi "The Non-Standard Child". Nearby are bestsellers: Y. Gippenreiter "Communication with a Child. How?", J. Korczak "How to Love a Child", and A. Nekrasov "Maternal Love". A modern perspective on upbringing is offered by I. Vasilaki "To Give Birth and To Love" and E. Filonenko "Boundaries and Rules". The exhibition will conclude with works by foreign experts: German authors D. Geigg and L. Sillaba "The Mom I Want to Be", Danish psychologist J. Juul "Children of the Land of Hygge", and others. They provide simple yet profound advice on upbringing, reminding us that a happy relationship with a child begins with respect, calmness, and the ability to be present without yelling or rushing.
