About the event

The museum session "Brigade Commander from Naberezhnye Chelny" will introduce visitors to the military exploits of Nikolai Mikhailovich Koshaev, a Hero of the Soviet Union, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, a tank brigade commander, and a native of Naberezhnye Chelny.

Colonel Koshaev performed many heroic deeds, was distinguished by unparalleled personal heroism, and lost an arm in one of the fierce battles. In the last year of the war, Nikolai Mikhailovich founded and headed the military department at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, which he led for eighteen years; later, he taught mathematics at the Moscow Civil Engineering Institute.

During the session, copies of documents, newspaper articles, frontline photographs, and Nikolai Mikhailovich Koshaev's post-war tunic will be on display.
