About the event

The most famous drink in the world is tea. Participants of the event will learn about its rich history of origin in China and its arrival in Russia. Interesting facts about tea traditions and ceremonies of different peoples, presented with slides, will broaden horizons regarding hospitality and tea culture.

Participants will recall Russian folk proverbs that speak about the special role of tea in the life of a Russian person, listen to chastushki (ditties) written over a hundred years ago, and poems about tea.

The finale of the meeting will be a reading of an excerpt from the work "Yama" by A. I. Kuprin, in which the classic writer reveals the secrets of brewing refreshing and invigorating tea.
