About the event

The Great Patriotic War. Only through books, films, and the memories of frontline soldiers can one imagine the price at which victory was won. And it was won not only by men, the traditional defenders of the Motherland, but also by women, young girls, yesterday's schoolgirls and students. They joined the ranks and became soldiers.

With the help of a presentation, children will learn about the heroic deeds of pilots Marina Raskova, Natalia Meklin, and Nadezhda Popova; snipers Lyudmila Pavlichenko, Nina Markova, and Evdokia Motina; and scouts Ekaterina Demina and Nadezhda Troyan. Nurses Zina Tusnolobova and Zina Samsonova also made their contribution to the fight against the common enemy.

Works by writers about the Great Patriotic War will be presented to the children: "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" and "Tomorrow Was War" by B. Vasilyev, "Live and Remember" by V. Rasputin, "The Human Mother" by V. Zakrutkin, "War's Unwomanly Face" by S. Alexievich, and others.
