Pushkin Day in Russia is celebrated annually on June 6th, the birthday of Alexander Pushkin, who is considered the founder of the modern Russian literary language. Pushkin Day is an opportunity to recall the legacy of the great poet, the grandeur of the Russian language, and its role in culture.
A librarian will introduce children to the biography of the famous poet. Then, together with the Learned Cat, the children will test their knowledge of the poet's wonderful fairy tales through contests and quizzes such as "Name the Tale by the Object," "Catch the Fish," "The Magic Mirror," and others.
