The following events took place in the great hall of the Naberezhnye Chelny Art Gallery The grand opening of the city competition exhibition "Artist of the Year 2020", which is a landmark cultural event for the city and is held in order to support and develop fine arts in Naberezhnye Chelny.

In 2021, the exhibition features 215 works by 113 authors in various genres and techniques. The winners of the city competition exhibition "Artist of the Year 2020" were the following nominations: "Painting" to Alexander Petrov for his high professional skills and great contribution to the development of painting; "Graphics" to Riyat Mukhametdinov for his high professionalism, richness of thematic solutions, and great contribution to the development of graphics. "Sculpture" to Fakil Gayfutdinov for socially significant monumental works and the disclosure of historical themes in sculpture. "Decorative and Applied Arts and Sculpture" - Chulpan Sharifullina for her high professionalism and great contribution to the development of Shamail's art. "New Names" to Tatiana Nizamova for her exquisite taste and mastery of the "watercolor" technique. "Folk Art" to Foat Zakirov for the development of folk art and for the creation of original wood products. "Naberezhnye Chelny. History and modernity": - Rauza Ivanova – for her high professionalism and picturesque embodiment of the image of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.

"Painting" - Abuzar Gabdrakhmanov for revealing the theme "Naberezhnye Chelny. History and Modernity" in the genre of landscape; "Graphics" - Anatoly Pashin for the development of the historical genre and fruitful creative approach in graphics; Olga Nedoviziy for exquisite taste and artistic expressiveness in graphic works; Sofia Ulchenko for the creative execution of graphic works.
