The main tasks of the Department are the implementation of measures aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the economy, the analysis of the economic situation of the municipality of Naberezhnye Chelny (hereinafter – the city).
The main functions of the Department, in accordance with the tasks assigned to it, are:
1) development of long-term and annual plans for the socio-economic development of the city: analysis of the dynamics of socio–economic development, development of a forecast, preparation of key indicators of socio-economic development of the city.
2) determination of threshold values of indicators for assessing the standard of living of the population, economic and social sectors of the city's life; implementation, within its competence, monitoring the achievement of planned results;
3) monitoring the implementation of a comprehensive forecast of socio-economic development and a system of indicative assessment of the standard of living of the city's population;
4) conducting, within its competence, an analysis of the financial and economic activities of organizations;
5) monitoring the implementation of urban programs;
6) analysis of the reasonableness of the cost composition of the city's organizations, in order to establish appropriate tariffs;
7) formation and provision of information materials on issues within the competence of the Department;
8) participation in the preparation and holding of meetings and seminars on economic issues;
9) preparation of responses to appeals from organizations and citizens on issues within the competence of the Department.
The Department performs other functions in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as municipal legal acts.
