An old family, ruled by Tankabike, lives without violating the canons of their ancestors established for centuries, respecting and honoring their customs.
The death of the eldest son Yulmorza destroys everything in an instant. According to ancient custom, Tankabike's middle son, Akyeget, must become the husband of Shafak, the wife of his deceased brother. His betrothed bride, Zubarzhat, must marry the youngest brother, Ishmurza.
