On the eve of this mournful date, librarians will take part in an action dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. These were people who died from brutal torture in fascist concentration camps, burned in gas chambers, torn apart by shells, or threw themselves at tanks to protect children and the elderly from shelling. Anyone who visits the library on this day will be able to light a candle as a sign of respect for those who gave us a peaceful life. The program includes the reading of poems and songs about the war. The book exhibition "80 Books about the War" will present a selection of fiction and non-fiction literature that is a must-read.
