A Spartakiad for people with disabilities took place in Naberezhnye Chelny.
People with disabilities demonstrated their skills in such disciplines as arm wrestling, chess, checkers, darts, boccia, and table tennis. More than a hundred residents of Chelny took part in the event. Among them was a wheelchair basketball team, whose players engage in various sports for their own development.
People with visual, hearing, and musculoskeletal impairments, as well as wheelchair users, showcased their sporting abilities.
The athletes proved that health limitations are merely obstacles that can be overcome with hard work, perseverance, and self-belief.
