The main tasks of the department are to coordinate and regulate issues related to public transport services in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
The main activities of the department are:
- study of the needs of the city's population in public transport services on regular municipal routes;
- formation and provision of an order for public transport services on regular municipal routes, including the development of necessary documentation;
- maintenance of the register of carriers carrying out passenger transportation on regular municipal routes;
- maintenance of the register of municipal routes and, based on it, development of the scheme of the municipal route network;
- ensuring the formation of the municipal route network;
- ensuring the activities of the Administrative and Technical Commission of the municipal formation of Naberezhnye Chelny;
- preparation of passports of municipal routes and timetables of passenger transport on regular municipal routes;
- control of the operation of control rooms;
- ensuring control over the fulfillment by carriers carrying out passenger transportation on municipal routes of rules, standards, regulations and contractual obligations;
- organization of the arrangement and maintenance of municipal routes, including the organization of the arrangement and maintenance of stops on such routes;
- coordination of the work of passenger transport carriers on municipal routes in case of violations of approved schedules caused by adverse road or weather and climatic conditions or emergency circumstances;
- providing information to the city's population about the list of municipal routes and the timetable for them;
- in accordance with the established procedure, the preparation of a system of indicators of the quality of public transport services with their normative values for use in the formation of the route network;
- consideration of complaints and appeals from citizens and legal entities regarding public transport services.
